Uncle Josh

Uncle Josh flew in last Wed. 17 March and left today 23 March 10. While Uncle Josh was here he and Mike went hiking at Waldo Canyon and all of us went to: 11 miles out the of 19 at Pikes Peak, Manitou Springs, the Manitou Cliff Dwellings, Seven Falls, and Old Colorado city. As you can see we were extremely busy while Josh was here. These events were nice because Mike and I haven’t really had an opportunity to get out and go sight seeing. This was a much needed vacation for everyone and Brayden especially enjoyed himself!

Here are some pictures from Pikes Peak, it was a long slow drive. The scenery was beautiful and the mountains were gorgeous. Once we hit 11 miles (the mile limit differs daily based on weather conditions) we got out to check out the view. We were able to look over Colorado Springs and see all the other mountains surrounding us.







Here are some pictures from the Manitou Cliff Dwellings. The Dwellings were interesting to see becasue these individuals built their homes in the mountains somehow surviving through the Colorado weather. We were able to walk through their homes and view their living quarters. This truly makes you appreciate how we live today. Enjoy!












Our next adventure was at Seven Falls. Seven falls is a waterfall located in Cheyenne Mountain. This waterfall was absolutely amazing, however if you decide to come and visit be prepared to walk up about 224 steps along side the waterfall in the mountains. This was intsense and a little nerve wrecking, however we made it safely and would do it again in a heart beat.



BTW this is only one of the two stairwells we had to climb.





Overall, this was a great vacation for all of us. We were able to finally get out and see what Colorado has to offer (which is alot). It was a great time and I know Brayden enjoyed seeing his Uncle Josh. While Uncle Josh was here I do not think Brayden crawled once. He was walking like he had been walking for months lol. Everyone had a blast and can't wait for our next guests to do it all over again. Hope you all enjoy and we love and miss all of you!!!!!
